Privacy Policy

Dental Rota Automation is a private, self-hosted scheduling tool used to manage the operator's own work rota and synchronise approved shifts to Google Calendar. This policy describes the tool's intended handling of scheduling and Google account data.
Information processed
The tool processes work shift dates, practice locations, rota images provided by its operator, approval decisions, and technical information needed to track calendar synchronisation. The tool accesses calendar event data for its dedicated work-rota Google Calendar after the account owner grants permission.
How Google Calendar information is used
Google Calendar access is used to check whether rota events exist and to create, update, or remove work-rota events after approval. The tool uses OAuth to obtain authorisation. Calendar access is not used for advertising, profiling, or selling personal data.
Storage and sharing
Rota and synchronisation records are held on the operator's self-hosted systems. Google Calendar stores the resulting events in the account owner's calendar. Telegram is used for rota submissions and approval messages, and Google's services are used for calendar synchronisation. The information website itself does not collect rota submissions or require a login.
Patient data
The tool is intended for work scheduling, not patient records or clinical notes. Patient-identifiable information should not be submitted to it.
Retention and control
The operator controls the local rota records and Google Calendar events. OAuth access can be revoked through the Google Account permissions page. Calendar items and local records may be managed or deleted by the operator, subject to system backups and operational requirements.
Contact
Privacy-related enquiries may be directed to the application support email shown on the Google OAuth consent screen.
Updates
This policy may be updated when the application's functionality or data handling changes.
